About Cinnamon Sugar & Vanilla Bean 🤎🤍
Meet Cinnamon Sugar & Vanilla Bean 🤎🤍
Cinnamon Sugar and Vanilla Bean came into care after a pretty rough start to life, both battling severe cat flu and needing plenty of TLC to get them back on their tiny paws. Sadly, despite treatment, one of Sugar’s eyes couldn’t be saved and ultimately needed to be removed. Through it all, these two little sisters have been each other’s constant — finding comfort, warmth and reassurance in one another every step of the way. Please see Sugar’s medical notes for further information.
But their difficult beginning certainly doesn’t define them. Today, Sugar and Vanilla are happy, healthy, affectionate little girls who are busy doing exactly what kittens should be doing — playing, exploring, causing mischief and enjoying life!
As bonded sisters, these two are rarely far apart. They love racing around together, tumbling and wrestling, chasing toys and turning just about anything into a game. Once they’ve exhausted themselves, you’ll often find them curled up together for a snooze, still seeking out the same warmth and comfort in each other that they always have.
Sugar is the slightly softer soul of the pair and an absolute little cuddlebug. She loves curling up in your lap or being tucked into your arms, where she’ll happily melt into you and purr away. She’s sweet, gentle and incredibly affectionate, with a beautiful little cuddly streak that makes her very easy to fall in love with.
Vanilla is the little adventurer. Slightly bigger and a touch more confident, she’s often the first to investigate something new, explore somewhere unfamiliar or see what’s happening around the next corner. She’s curious, playful and full of personality, approaching the world with an adorable sense of confidence and adventure.
Together, they balance each other beautifully — Sugar with her soft, snuggly nature and Vanilla with her curious, adventurous spirit.
There’s something particularly special about watching two sisters who have been together from day one grow up side by side. They are best friends, playmates and cuddle buddies all rolled into one, and their future family gets the privilege of watching that beautiful bond continue to grow throughout their lives.
Cinnamon Sugar and Vanilla Bean will be adopted together as a bonded pair — two beautiful little sisters, ready to spend the rest of their lives growing, playing and adventuring together. 🤎🤍
Medical notes
Cinnamon Sugar experienced cat flu as a kitten and received appropriate care and treatment. She has since made a full recovery and is currently showing no ongoing symptoms. Due to the severity of illness during her first few weeks of life, Cinnamon Sugar may be predisposed to intermittent upper respiratory flare-ups (e.g. sneezing, mild discharge). If symptoms occur, they can typically be managed in consultation with the adopter’s veterinarian.
Cinnamon Sugar arrived in care with severe cat flu which resulted in significant corneal ulceration of her right eye. Despite appropriate veterinary treatment, the ulcer did not resolve and ultimately ruptured. As a result, surgical removal of her right eye (enucleation) was required. Cinnamon Sugar has recovered well following surgery. The surgical site is fully healed, her stitches have been removed and no ongoing treatment or management relating to the removed eye is required. Cinnamon Sugar has good vision in her remaining left eye. Some residual corneal scarring is present, however, this does not impact her vision or require treatment. While Cinnamon Sugar has vision in only one eye, cats generally adapt extremely well to this, and her previous eye condition is not expected to negatively impact her quality of life moving forward.
Cinnamon Sugar is currently well, comfortable and has been cleared by a vet ready for adoption. These disclosures are provided to ensure her future family and vet are fully informed and able to monitor her appropriately as she grows.
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
