About Frankie
🐶 🐾 FRANKIE — 4-YEAR-OLD JACK RUSSELL BOY 🐾
Frankie is a clever, independent and loyal 4-year-old Jack Russell boy with a big personality!
Frankie isn’t the type of dog who will run straight up to you and shower you with affection. He needs time to get to know you and, most importantly, needs you to show him that you are kind, patient and someone he can trust. Once that trust is built, Frankie has plenty of love and loyalty to give. ❤️
He is a very independent boy who is happy entertaining himself. Give him his favourite toys and some bones to chew, and he is more than happy to keep himself busy. He is also quite comfortable being left alone for periods of time.
Frankie is sweet but can be stubborn and knows exactly what he wants! 😄 Because he is very clever, he can sometimes try to boss you around, so he needs an owner who is confident, consistent and willing to set boundaries.
He can be a little head-shy and does not enjoy having his face touched. He can also become anxious when visiting the vet, so a patient owner who understands his needs is important.
The good news is Frankie is very food motivated (his current weight is 8.4kg), which makes him much easier to train. He already knows basic commands including sit, hi-five, drop, wait and gentle. He is an intelligent boy who enjoys learning.
🏡 Frankie’s ideal home:
• Active adults only
• Best suited as the only dog
• A secure grassy backyard
• Ideally a home with a doggy door
• Someone patient, confident and consistent
• A family who will allow him time to build trust
• Plenty of toys, enrichment and activities to keep his clever mind busy
Frankie is not the dog for everyone — but for the right person, he could be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. ❤️
