Gus

Gus came to us after being rescued from a large cat colony. As a former street cat, he is making incredible progress and has truly come out of his shell!

Gus has well and truly adjusted to the luxurious life of domesticated living. Ever since discovering decadent sensations of a human chin scratch and brush, he cannot keep himself from smooching against you every chance he can get. This even includes flopping on his belly for a bonus belly rub!

Being extremely food motivated, Gus’s heart is easily won with treats (hence his nickname, Gutts) and he gobbles his dinner with lightning speed. Don’t let his roundness fool you though, Gus has the boundless energy and playfulness of a kitten and is lightning fast with his toys. His absolute favourite place to play is his tunnel, watch him turn into a tunnel gremlin when he comes alive!

While he is still building his overall confidence around humans and has his occasional shy moments, he is growing bolder every single day. Gus absolutely loves other cats and desperately wants to be friends with them, so he would truly bloom in a home with another playful cat companion who can reciprocate that friendship.

Gus is looking for a patient, understanding, and gentle adopter who can offer him the time, space, and environment he needs to continue thriving. Because he adores other felines so much, a home with a playful cat companion would be hugely beneficial to help him continue to learn the ropes.
