About Gus
Gus came to FFAR after being rescued from a large feral cat colony. As a former street cat, Gus is still learning the ropes of living with humans, but he is making wonderful progress!
Gus’s absolute favorite things in life are food (hence his nickname, Gutts) and finding a safe, cozy hideout to snooze in during the day while he adjusts to the hustle and bustle of human life. Gus is truly at his best and most confident after the sun goes down, and when he’s in the company of other cats, his playful and curious side really comes alive.
As he continues to adjust from his natural nocturnal lifestyle to a daytime human schedule, we’re confident he’ll continue to flourish. While Gus is still warming up to physical touch and isn’t quite ready for lap cuddles yet, he is incredibly curious and brave. Given the incredible strides he has already made, we’re sure he’ll discover the pure joy of a good chin scratch in no time!
Gus is looking for a patient, understanding, and gentle adopter who can offer him the time, space, and quiet environment he needs to bloom at his own pace. We believe he would really thrive in a home with another cat companion to help show him the ropes of domesticated life.
If you’re a cat-savvy human looking to give a deserving soul the safe haven he’s been waiting for, Gus will reward your patience with a lifetime of quiet companionship.
