Poppy is a super friendly, affectionate girl who absolutely loves being with her people. She enjoys relaxing indoors, cuddling on the couch, travelling in the car, and spending quality time with those she loves. While she still enjoys her toys and the occasional gentle game of fetch, these days Poppy is happiest living a calm, relaxed lifestyle.

Poppy is house-trained and very social with other dogs. She may suit a home with a calm, well-mannered male dog companion. She is not suitable to live with cats or pocket pets and may suit a family with children aged 10 years and older who understand the importance of giving her space to rest when needed.

Since coming into GAWS, Poppy has been diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia, osteoarthritis, and a mid-grade luxating patella in her right knee. She is currently on medication, and her ongoing joint care will likely be lifelong. Because of this, Poppy is looking for a special home committed to providing her with continued veterinary care, gentle daily exercise such as leisurely leash walks, and plenty of time to rest and recover.
