About Red
❤️ MEET RED ❤️
Red is honestly just the most lovable dog. He’s gentle, affectionate and happiest when he’s right beside his people. He’s a total snuggle bug and loves nothing more than resting his head on your shoulder and soaking up all the attention he can get.
Red came into our care because of a medical condition that requires ongoing management, but you certainly wouldn’t know it from his personality. He’s a happy, easy-going boy who has completely won us over since arriving.
More than anything, Red just wants to be part of the family. He wants to be inside with you, hanging out while you go about your day, joining in on family life and finding the comfiest spot close to his people.
He’s also a pretty easy guy to love — Red is great with people, children, other dogs and even cats. He has such a lovely, gentle nature and would make a beautiful companion for a family looking for a dog who genuinely wants to be involved in their everyday life.
Red isn’t looking for anything fancy. Just a home where he’ll be loved, included and treated like one of the family.
If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate boy who will happily follow you around, curl up beside you and rest his head on your shoulder whenever he gets the chance, Red might just be your guy. ❤️
He really is something special, and we can’t wait to see him find the family he deserves. 🐾
Medical notes
🩺 RED’S MEDICAL HISTORY
Red has been diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic epilepsy and will most likely require anti-seizure medication for the remainder of his life. Thankfully, the medication itself is relatively inexpensive, but it is extremely important that it is administered strictly twice daily. His future family will need to be comfortable committing to his medication schedule and ongoing veterinary monitoring.
After coming into care, Red was also diagnosed with heartworm. We have commenced his heartworm treatment, however treatment and recovery are ongoing and will need to continue to be appropriately managed.
Red may come with a little more medical responsibility than the average dog, but what he gives back is immeasurable.
He doesn’t know that he has medical problems. He just knows that he loves people, loves cuddles and wants somewhere he can finally belong.
Red deserves a family who will look beyond his medical history and see the incredibly loving dog standing in front of them — a dog who will happily rest his head on your shoulder and remind you every day how grateful he is to be loved.
❤️ Red is looking for a home where he can be an inside dog and a genuine member of the family.
If you think you could be Red’s person, please send SANA Animal Welfare & Rehabilitation a message to enquire about adopting him. 🐾
