Some kittens kick the door down when they arrive. Ducky quietly waited his turn.

Born safely in foster care after his very pregnant mum was rescued from the streets just in time, Ducky and his five siblings never had to know what life outside could have been. They were raised in a warm, loving home by an experienced foster carer, surrounded by full bellies, soft beds and plenty of love.

As a tiny kitten, Ducky was always the quiet observer. While his brothers and sisters wrestled, zoomed around the house and generally caused chaos (much to their poor mum's amusement), Ducky would sit back and watch. We thought he was simply an old soul.

As it turns out... he was just being politely outnumbered.

Now that his siblings have found their own homes, and he's had a little breathing room away from his cheeky mum, Ducky has absolutely blossomed. The quiet little observer has transformed into an affectionate, cuddly, purring machine who simply adores being loved.

One of the things that makes Ducky so special is that, unlike many kittens raised in large social litters, he's genuinely happy soaking up all the attention himself. While he's been beautifully socialised, he'd be perfectly content as your one-and-only pet, which is surprisingly rare for a kitten his age.

Ducky is curious without being over-the-top, playful without turning your curtains into climbing equipment, and affectionate without being demanding. At 5½ months old, he's moved past the tiny tornado stage but still has all the fun, playfulness and adaptability of a young kitten. He's reached that wonderful sweet spot where his personality is shining through.
