About Rooster - 9 Month Old Dachshund X Kelpie
Meet Rooster, a fabulous combination of dachshund and kelpie. He is 9 months old and weighs 11kg so won’t get much bigger. This loving guy will keep you entertained, exercised and your lap warm when it’s time for a snuggle.
Rooster loves people and other dogs. He’d love to have a resident Dog to play with and for company.
He is toilet trained with access to a doggy door. He has started crate training and is food motivated which will make training him a delight.
Rooster needs a backyard for zoomies, dog savvy kids over six and a family who wants another dog to join them on adventures.
Enrichment and dedication will make Rooster the perfect family dog. You won’t need an acreage for this short statured kelpie X dachshund he will thrive with love, training and routine.
Rooster is not tested with cats and not suitable to be left alone long hours alone.
Rooster is in foster care in New Lambton, NSW, and is available for adoption in NSW & ACT (no flights). He is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and intestinal worms. His adoption fee is $700

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
