🩶 Polygon and Santa Cruz🖤

Polygon and Santa Cruz arrived in our care as very young kittens who hadn't been well cared for. As such, they received care for some flu symptoms and ring worm.

Both girls are currently being treated with an oral medication for ringworm. Ringworm is a common fungal infection that many kittens can pick up, particularly before coming into foster care. It isn't a worm, and with the right treatment it usually clears up quickly and completely. Treatment is already underway, and we're happy to answer any questions and provide guidance to adopters if needed.

Polygon also struggled with ongoing respiratory challenges and was slow to eat and gain weight. Despite the best of care, various medications, several chest X-rays and many vet visits, is was a quest to get the bottom of her snuffly breathing. She recently underwent an exploratory procedure while under a general anesthesia for desexing. During this, our vet located and removed two big polyps from her pallet! Pathology has cleared her of anything sinister and we have been told that there is no reason to expect that they will regrow. The space where the polyps occupied appear to have impacted the position of Poly's eye, resulting in her third eyelid now being raised. This is purely cosmetic and is not causing her any discofort.
Poly is now a transformed kitted. She has recovered beautifully, and has made up for any slow growth by scoffing food faster than we’ve ever seen before!
