About Aster rstk013411
Handsome young Aster is a sweet fellow with a big heart… and an even bigger appreciation for dinner!
Aster loves his food — possibly a little more than he should — and he certainly won’t let you forget when mealtime is approaching. The way to this boy’s heart may very well be through his stomach!
Once Aster feels comfortable and knows he’s safe, his lovely personality begins to shine. He enjoys attention, affection and spending time with his people, revealing himself to be a very sweet and endearing companion.
There is one thing Aster finds difficult, though: change. New environments can be overwhelming for him, and moving into a new home will take some adjustment. His forever family will need to give him a little time and space to explore, settle in and learn that this new place really is his home.
Patience will be well rewarded. Once Aster has found his feet, you’ll discover a gorgeous, affectionate young man who is very happy to be loved — particularly if snacks happen to be involved!
If you can offer Aster a patient, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace, he’ll soon be ready to make himself comfortable, claim his favourite spot and start reminding you that dinner is definitely overdue.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
