About Karen & Zoe
Some bonds are simply meant to last a lifetime, and for beautiful sisters Karen and Zoe, that couldn’t be more true.
These lovely ladies have never spent a day apart. They absolutely adore one another, finding comfort, confidence and reassurance in each other’s company. Wherever life takes them, it needs to take them together.
Karen and Zoe came into our care following the heartbreaking loss of their beloved person. They had shared a quiet, peaceful home with him, and one of his greatest concerns was what the future would hold for his girls. Most importantly, he wanted to know that Karen and Zoe would always remain together.
We intend to honour that wish.
Both girls are very shy and timid by nature. They aren’t going to march through the front door and make themselves at home. They need time, patience and a gentle person who understands that trust can’t be rushed. In the right environment, with someone willing to let them settle at their own pace, we hope these beautiful sisters can once again feel safe, secure and deeply loved.
Their dream home is much like the one they have always known: quiet, calm and predictable. Ideally, they would love to share their life with one person — perhaps someone retired or working from home — who enjoys a peaceful household and is happy simply having two sweet feline companions nearby.
Karen and Zoe are looking for a home without children or dogs, where there are no big expectations and no pressure to be anything other than themselves.
They’ve already lost the person and home they knew and loved. Now, they need someone special to offer them their next chapter — together, always.
A peaceful home. A patient heart. One person to love.
For Karen and Zoe, that would mean everything.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
