About Honey
🐾🍯 Meet Honey 🍯🐾
4 years and 8 months of snorts, zoomies, sunshine naps, cheeky adventures and enough Pug personality to keep you laughing every single day! ❤️
If you've ever loved a Pug...
You already know they're not just dogs.
They're tiny comedians wrapped in a squishy little body.
And Honey is absolutely no exception.
At 4 years and 8 months old, this gorgeous little lady has come into care through absolutely no fault of her own. She was dearly loved, but sadly her family could no longer keep her.
Now Honey is searching for a forever family who'll appreciate everything that makes Pugs one of the funniest, most affectionate breeds on the planet.
😂 Life According to Honey...
Wake up.
Stretch dramatically.
Demand breakfast.
Zoom around the house like you've had three coffees.
Sunbake.
Nap.
Repeat.
It's a pretty wonderful lifestyle if you ask Honey.
One minute she's peacefully snoozing in the warmest patch of sunshine she can find...
The next she's tearing around the house doing joyful little Pug zoomies that seem to appear completely out of nowhere.
It's impossible not to laugh.
☀️ Professional Sunbaker
If there's sunshine...
Honey will find it.
She absolutely loves stretching out in a warm sunny spot, closing her eyes and pretending life couldn't possibly get any better.
Until someone says...
"Want to go for a ride?"
Because then...
Everything changes.
🚗 Adventure Time!
Honey absolutely LOVES the car.
Mention the words "car ride" and she's ready before you are.
No travel sickness.
No stress.
Just pure excitement because adventures with her people are the best adventures.
She also enjoys short walks and gets very excited when the lead comes out.
Being a Pug, she's a brachycephalic breed, so her walks are kept shorter and during the cooler parts of the day to keep her safe and comfortable.
❤️ The More Company... The Better!
Honey genuinely believes life is more fun when it's shared.
She's wonderful with children, having been beautifully gentle around a one-year-old toddler, and she'd happily soak up all the extra pats and cuddles if there were kids in her forever home.
She also absolutely adores other dogs.
In fact...
We'd really love to see Honey in a home with another playful dog.
She loves having a friend to wrestle with, zoom around the yard with, then collapse beside for an afternoon nap.
She's currently living with an older Italian Greyhound who's much more interested in relaxing than wrestling...
Honey occasionally forgets this. 😂
Cats?
Honey couldn't really care less.
The resident cat, however...
Let's just say the feeling wasn't mutual.
🚪 One Tiny Thing...
Honey has invented a very exciting game called...
"Catch Me If You Can!"
If a door is left open...
Honey sees it as a personal invitation to bolt outside for an adventure.
She doesn't do it because she wants to run away.
She simply thinks it's the greatest game ever invented.
Because of this, Honey will need a home where everyone is mindful when opening doors and gates. A secure yard and a family who understand that little Pugs can move surprisingly quickly when they're feeling cheeky is essential.
🛋️ Snuggles... On Her Terms
Honey is wonderfully affectionate.
She loves climbing into bed with her humans for cuddles...
But when she's ready for a proper sleep, she's equally happy curling up in her own bed right beside you.
It's the best of both worlds.
Close enough to know you're there...
Comfortable enough to snore peacefully all night long.
🐾 Around the Home
Honey is toilet trained and currently about 80% reliable, although like many dogs she's still learning to make it outside every single time. She happily uses a doggy door and continues improving every day.
One of her funniest little quirks is her playful nibbling during games.
It's not aggression...
It's simply Honey's slightly unusual way of joining in the fun.
She'll also happily chase birds if given the opportunity because, apparently, every self-respecting Pug needs a hobby.
❤️ Honey's Perfect Home
Honey is looking for a family who'll embrace everything that makes Pugs so incredibly special.
A family who'll laugh at her random zoomies.
Appreciate her championship-level sunbaking.
Take her on little adventures.
Let her snuggle close.
And most importantly...
Give her another playful dog to share life with.
Because while Honey adores people...
She absolutely blossoms when she has a canine best friend to wrestle, play and nap beside.
🍯 If you're looking for a funny, affectionate little shadow who'll keep you smiling every day, fill your home with snorts, zoomies and unconditional love, Honey might just be the sweetest addition your family has been waiting for.
🐾 Professional sunbaker.
