Hi, I'm River! A three year old Border Collie, Old English Sheepdog cross girl. 👋🐕

I found myself at the pound because I needed corrective surgery on my mouth and my owners could not afford it. DM Rescue came to my rescue, had my teeth fixed and now I am ready to find a new forever family. My mouth is now all good, I am all good, full of bounce and as bubbly as a happy three year old should be.

For the rest of my life I am not going to be able to eat Bones of any type, goat horns, cow horns or any other type of horns that could destroy my crowns that now make me look so pretty and let me eat proper food.

Foster mum says I'm the sweetest and most precious soul. I will lap up all the pats and affection you can offer. I really love my foster doggo friends and would love a family that will let me play with friendly & playful dogs. I have not lived with kids in my foster home but I do like them to play with me. Might be best if they were older though as I am an active vegemite. New things and places can be scary for me, but once I'm familiar, I'm a happy comfortable girl. 😊

Foster mum is currently teaching me my basic manners. I'm learning to walk on lead and am going well with this. Car rides are awesome, I just love when I hear those car keys jingle as it signals another adventure for me. I currently sleep inside in my crate and once I get to my forever home, I look forward to my own snuggly bed where I can relax and be part of the family. I've been around plenty of other doggos, but have not been tested with cats, livestock or chickens.

I really need a family that will involve me in their everyday lives. A home where someone is home reasonably often would be great as I have not been left alone on my own for all day every day and I don't think I'd like that. A family that can ensure I will get all the ongoing exercise, training and mental stimulation I need is essential. I am a very clever girl and pick things up quickly. I will enjoy all the training you can provide for me as I want to learn and praise is just so wonderful when I get things spot on.
