Sunrise is the sweetest foster we have ever had. She is very gentle and loving and would make a great addition to a family that has time to spend with her, playing and cuddling.

Sunrise would be great with children as she loves attention and is keen to be involved in games and activities that we are doing around the house or out in the garden. She also likes to do her own thing whether that be playing with her toys or out in the yard exploring.

Sunrise would do best in a house with another dog to play with. Her background has meant that she is very timid when exposed to new experiences and needs to be slowly introduced to things outside of the family home where she feels safe and secure. She has only recently started to go on walks with one of the resident dogs and loud noises or unfamiliar sights can make her unsettled. She needs someone with patience and time to learn that the world is not such a scary place.

Sunrise loves meeting new people and new dogs. We recently had a playdate with another rescue dog and she loved having a new playmate and spent 3 hours playing, running around the yard and wrestling.

Sunrise is currently living with a large relaxed female and an active medium male. She is left outside with her two foster siblings during the day when everyone is at work but loves to be inside once everyone is home so that she can be part of the action. She fancies herself as a bit of a guard dog with the odd bark but she does not bark excessively. She is quite food motivated and gets up early every morning to share a banana with her foster siblings. She is gentle when taking food out of your hand and knows how to sit.

Sunrise is almost fully toilet trained, just the occasional accident when we don’t see her sitting at the door waiting to be let out. She has been sleeping in her crate at night but she would love to sleep on a bed with someone she loves. She is confident travelling in the car. She is an absolute sun bunny, and can often be found asleep on the sun lounger or resting on the ducted heating. She has met cats and barked at them from afar but stayed well back when they were on the other side of the baby gate and was curious but wary when in the same room as them on her lead. She could be introduced to a confident cat successfully. She loves playing with lots of toys and still displays some typical puppy behaviours that will need continued guidance and training as she grows.
