About Maisie
Maisie is the perfect combination of gentle, sweet and quietly curious. While she might not be the first kitten to race over and demand attention, give her a little time and you'll discover a beautiful personality that's growing more confident every day.
Since settling into her foster home, Maisie has made wonderful progress. She now greets her foster family each morning with the sweetest head butts and a chorus of happy purrs, proving that once you've earned her trust, you're part of her special circle. She's learning that people are safe, kind and worth getting to know, and it will be incredibly rewarding to watch her blossom.
While Maisie isn't a cuddle bug just yet and prefers to keep all four paws on the ground most of the time, she'll happily tolerate being held for a short cuddle. She is much more likely to show her affection in her own gentle ways—by rubbing against your legs, head butts or simply choosing to be nearby. Her confidence and love for human interaction continue to grow with each passing day.
When it's playtime, Maisie's playful personality really shines. Her favourite game? Fetch! Toss her a scrunched-up piece of paper and she'll happily chase after it, bringing plenty of entertainment to your day.
When she's not showing off her fetching skills, you'll usually find her perched on her cat tower, soaking up the sunshine, keeping an eye on the world outside, or planning her next adventure.
Maisie has been raised in a busy foster home with children, another cat, a dog, and plenty of visitors.
Due to our single kitten policy, Maisie will need to be adopted into a home with a friendly resident cat or adopted alongside another kitten. Her siblings, Bella and Apollo, are also available for adoption if you’re looking to welcome the perfect pair, or even trio, into your family.
Maisie is an independent little lady with a heart full of love to give, and the family lucky enough to adopt her will have the joy of watching her continue to grow into the affectionate, confident cat she's meant to be.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
