Lelu

Lelu is a sweet, affectionate little Dachshund who forms a strong bond with her people and loves nothing more than being by your side.

She settled into foster care quickly and has shown herself to be playful, cheeky and full of personality. Whether she's chasing her favourite soft toys, stretching out in the sunshine or heading out for a sniff-filled walk, Lelu enjoys making the most of every day.

She is toilet trained, travels well in the car and has settled nicely into a home routine.

Lelu would love a family who can continue her basic training, provide plenty of enrichment and, most importantly, give her the love and companionship she thrives on. She has the potential to live with another friendly dog following appropriate introductions and may also be able to share her home with a dog-savvy cat. In return, you'll have a loyal little shadow who will happily fill your days with cuddles, kisses and plenty of fun.

Lelu is looking for a calm home where someone is around most of the time, as she has shown signs of separation anxiety and is happiest when close to her person. She would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children who understand when she needs space.

Like many Dachshunds, Lelu can be vocal and enthusiastic when she sees other dogs on lead, with her reactivity appearing to stem from frustration. With continued positive training and guidance, she has every chance to improve her lead manners and confidence.
