Hi, I'm Nugget, a sweet 5-year-old Domestic Short Hair looking for a calm and patient home.

I'm a naturally timid girl and can be quite fearful of new environments, loud noises, and sudden movements. I have a strong flight response and may run away if I get startled, even by small things like a can opening or someone moving too quickly. The good news is that I've made wonderful progress in foster care and continue to grow more confident every day.

Once I feel safe and learn to trust you, I become incredibly affectionate. In fact, now that I've discovered how lovely human attention is, I can't get enough of it! I love head and neck scratches, back pats, and spending time with my people.

My day usually starts with me greeting my foster human by rolling onto my back and meowing for pats. After breakfast, I enjoy playtime, especially with my wand toy, toy mouse, or my favourite ping pong ball. I often get the zoomies after breakfast, then spend much of the day sleeping. When my humans come home, I'm always ready for pats, treats, and more playtime.

You'll usually find me sleeping under the couch or on top of my cat tower, though sometimes I'll curl up beside my human on the couch.

Because I'm such a sensitive soul, my ideal home is a quiet household with patient people who will give me the time I need to settle in. I would also do best in a home with no children under 6 years old, as sudden movements and loud noises can be overwhelming for me. Once I'm comfortable, you'll be rewarded with a loving, playful companion who absolutely adores affection. Love, Nugget
