About Poppy
Poppy is a beautiful 4.5 -year-old red Cattle Dog who adores people and thrives on human connection, making her a wonderful family companion, especially in homes with children. When she's happy, she'll give a sweet little "awoo" before melting into you for cuddles. 💛
Poppy is a clever girl with lovely manners. She walks beautifully on lead, knows her basic cues including sit, drop, and touch, waits patiently at doorways, and is crate trained.
As a Cattle Dog, Poppy enjoys both mental and physical enrichment. Training, scent work, puzzle games, and structured walks will help her thrive.
Poppy would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can enjoy all the love and attention. She currently lives with cats and may suit confident, dog-savvy cats with careful introductions.
She prefers a quieter lifestyle away from busy areas and dog parks. Poppy can be reactive to other dogs on lead and may resource guard food around other dogs, so she is fed separately so she can enjoy her meals.

Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
