About Charlie
Hi, I’m Charlie, an adorable Cavoodle looking for my forever home. Aren’t I cute? I’d love to tell you a bit about myself so you can see if I might be the perfect addition to your family.
The first thing to know is that I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat and can be protective of my humans and home. Is that a bad thing? Sometimes. I’ll guard our place so no one can ever sneak in or steal anything, which is a big plus. Beneath my protective streak, though, I’m an adorable yet slightly timid ‘scaredy-cat’ who could use a little boost to grow in confidence.
On the flip side, if visitors or relatives drop by unexpectedly, there’s a good chance I might startle them and give quite a scare. With time, growing confidence, and hopefully a bit more training, I can learn that I don’t have to be so on edge. I just need you to be patient with me and give me the time and understanding to adjust. I mean no harm I just get startled easily and want to protect us and our home.
I can be a little shy around strangers at first, but once I get to know you, my true personality shines through and you will see I am just a big softie. I really am just a big, lovable goofball who just wants to shower my family with love, snuggles, and loyal friendship. Picture me as a giant teddy bear, super cuddly and loyal. Have you seen my pictures? I really do look like a big teddy bear.
I’m the kind of dog who, once I love you, will stay by your side through thick and thin, giving you all the love and affection you could ever want. All I ask in return is a little time to settle in and plenty of cuddles.
I’m a big, furry bundle of energy with an endless love for life. I enjoy joining in on all sorts of adventures, whether it’s cruising to the local markets, stopping by for a tasty puppachino, or even lending a paw while you mow the lawn! I’m always happy to head off and explore a new hiking trail or help out with some garden chores (not sure if I’m actually helping, but it’s a lot of fun for me at least). I promise to make every moment we share special and fun.
I’ll need a good-sized backyard with tall, secure fencing since I can jump pretty high. I’m best suited to someone who’s home most of the time, as I’m not keen on being left alone for long hours. If you do head out, I’ll need a safe, cozy spot where I can feel comfortable until you’re back. I did mention—I’m a bit of a sooky scaredy cat.
I love my food, which makes training so much more enjoyable. So please remember to keep plenty of tasty treats at home. I could use a bit more socialisation too, as I think it will definitely help me feel more comfortable around new people and dogs and unexpected visitors.
If you're searching for a loyal companion full of energy and charm, I'm ready to fill your life with laughter and love, all you need to do is complete our adoption application to come meet me. P.S. Please let us know when you're on your way so I don’t accidentally startle you.
If you open your heart and home to me, and I promise you a lifetime of unforgettable adventures! Oh, I almost forgot to mention, I’ll need regular grooming to keep me looking as handsome as ever.
