Meet Aurora 🐾

Aurora is a sweet and affectionate Australian Cattle Dog looking for a calm and loving home where she can truly relax and enjoy life. At seven years old, she's past the puppy stage and ready to settle into a home that appreciates the gentle companionship of a mature dog.

Aurora loves being close to her people and would much prefer being indoors as part of the family than outside on her own. She enjoys gentle pats, quiet company, and spending time with those she trusts.

This lovely girl can feel nervous when it comes to handling. Her future family will need to continue building her confidence through patience, understanding, and positive reinforcement. Taking things at her pace will help her feel safe and secure.

Aurora can find a fence line and barriers challenging to cope with. A home without front yard access would be ideal for her.

Like many Australian Cattle dogs, Aurora enjoys using her brain and being busy! Meals served through enrichment activities and puzzle feeders will keep her mind engaged would be a great fit for this clever girl.

Aurora doesn’t have much experience with toys and play however a family invested in introducing her to fun and confidence-building games will help her tap into her playful side. 

Aurora isn't very interested in making canine friends however she could potentially live with another calm, respectful dog that is happy to coexist rather than interact all the time. She would also thrive as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the attention herself.

Because Aurora can be sensitive and prefers a quieter environment, any children in the home should be older and able to understand and respect dog body language.
