About Sweetie π©·
π©· Meet Sweetie! π©·
Some dogs are special... and then there's Sweetie. π₯ΉπΎ
When Sweetie first arrived in our care, she was skinny, shy and lost and desperately needed a safe place to land. Despite everything she'd been through, she greeted everyone with kindness, curiosity and the gentlest heart. Watching her transform has been incredible, and now she's ready to find the loving family she's always deserved. π
Estimated to be around 1β2 years old, Sweetie is a stunning Kelpie x Husky with striking ice-blue eyes and a smile that melts hearts. π But while she's beautiful on the outside, it's her temperament that truly makes her unforgettable.
β¨ Sweetie is, quite simply, one of the loveliest dogs we've had the pleasure of caring for.
She has the most gentle, placid and easy-going personality. She's not jumpy, she's not mouthy, she's not overbearing or constantly demanding attention. Instead, she's calm, polite and incredibly well-mannered. The kind of dog who's simply a joy to have by your side. π©·
Honestly... once you meet Sweetie, it's almost impossible not to fall in love. Everyone who spends time with her comments on what an absolute delight she is to be around. She has such a peaceful presence that makes her incredibly easy to live with. π
πΊ Don't let her breed mix fool you!
People often expect a Kelpie x Husky to be full-on and constantly bouncing off the walls... but Sweetie couldn't be more different. While she still enjoys getting out for walks and exploring, she's surprisingly mature and independent. She's perfectly happy doing her own thing, relaxing nearby or quietly taking in the world around her.
π Walking with Sweetie is a dream!
She walks beautifully on lead with no pulling whatsoever. In fact, she's quite the slow walker because she'd much rather stop and sniff every interesting smell she comes across. πΌπ Every walk is an adventure in her eyes.
πΆ She loves making dog friends!
Sweetie enjoys playing with the friendly male dogs here at the pound and would happily share her home with a friendly desexed male canine companion after a successful meet and greet. π
π€ The Husky genes do come out... sometimes!
Despite being part Husky, Sweetie is actually a very quiet girl. The only time she really "sings" is if you get her excited or start chatting back to her. Then you'll be treated to the cutest little Husky howl. πΆπ
π§ She's got the manners to match her looks!
β
Sits on command
β
Walks beautifully on lead
β
Exceptionally gentle with people
β
Clean and tidy in her kennel
β
Not destructive
β
Not an escape artist
β
Happy entertaining herself
She's also shown excellent kennel manners, keeping her space clean, which suggests she may already have good house manners too. She doesn't really know what toys are yet, making us think she may never have had many of her own before. We'd love to see her discover just how fun they can be. π§Έπ
π± Cats? Probably not.
Due to her breed mix, Sweetie is likely to chase a cat if it runs, so we're looking for a cat-free home.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Could she live with children?
With her calm, gentle and patient nature, we think Sweetie could make a wonderful family dog for respectful children, pending a successful meet and greet at the pound. π©·

If you're looking for a dog who's beautiful inside and out, Sweetie is the whole package. She's calm, affectionate, intelligent, incredibly well-rounded and simply a pleasure to be around. We truly struggle to fault her.
Dogs with temperaments like Sweetie's don't come along every day, and we have no doubt that whoever is lucky enough to adopt her will gain an incredibly loyal, loving companion for life. π©·πΎ
