Hi, I'm Katie!

I'm a gentle, sensitive girl who likes to take life at my own pace. Earlier in my life, I didn't always get the attention and socialisation I deserved, so new people, unfamiliar places, and big changes can feel a little overwhelming at first. Because of that, I take a little time to trust but once I know I'm safe, I start to let my true personality shine.

When I first come home, I'd really love a quiet, private space where I can settle in at my own pace. Having a safe room to call my own while I adjust will help me build confidence and get used to all the new sights, sounds, and smells. The best thing you can do for me is let me come to you when I'm ready.

I really appreciate people who respect my boundaries and let me choose how we'd like to interact. A simple way to say hello is to offer me your hand and see what I decide. If I wander over and give you a little head bunt, congratulations you've been accepted! If I don't, that's okay too. I'm just politely saying, "No thank you, maybe later."

Now, let's talk about one of my favourite things... food! I'm highly food motivated, so tasty treats are a wonderful way to win me over. With patience, consistency, and plenty of yummy snacks, you'll see my confidence grow a little more each day. Once I feel comfortable, my playful side comes out too, and I love chasing toys and having fun.

I'm looking for a quiet/calm home with people who will celebrate my little milestones, respect my boundaries, and give me all the time I need to feel safe. I may not be the boldest cat you'll ever meet, but if you're willing to let me bloom at my own pace, I promise I'll make every small step together feel incredibly rewarding.
