Velcro is a calm, confident girl who believes life is best enjoyed from the warmest spot in the house. Whether she's stretched out in a sunny window, curled up in a cosy bed, or quietly keeping you company, she's happiest simply being near her people.
Affectionate and wonderfully low maintenance, Velcro doesn't ask for much - just a comfortable place to nap, some good food, and someone to share her days with. She loves being around people, enjoys sitting close by, and is happy to be picked up and held. She's the kind of cat who makes wonderful company without ever being demanding.
While Velcro isn't much of a talker, she's mastered the art of the silent stare. If she wants something, she'll simply fix you with her gaze until you work it out - and somehow, it always works!
Velcro has lived with other cats and enjoys having feline company. She'll happily sit beside another cat, groom them, and quietly share their space. A calm, older cat with a similar laid back personality would likely be a lovely companion for her. However, she wouldn't be suited to living with a young, energetic cat looking for a playmate. Velcro isn't particularly playful, and if another cat becomes too boisterous, she'll let them know with a quick swipe before returning to her peaceful routine.
With her low energy nature, Velcro would much rather spend her day sunbaking than chasing toys around the house. She's food motivated, warms up to new people quickly, and has a wonderfully confident personality that helps her settle into new environments with ease.
One of the things we love most about Velcro is that she's incredibly affectionate while still being independent. She's happy to quietly share your company, but she also has enough confidence to politely put anyone in their place if they cross a boundary. It's all part of her charming personality.
Velcro's ideal home will be one with constant companionship, she will need a home with people who are home more often than not or alternatively she would love to go to a home with a calm, older cat.
If you're looking for a relaxed, loving companion who will happily spend her days soaking up the sunshine and your company, Velcro could be the perfect match.

Adoption details
Please email us at adoptions@heartandsoulrescue.com.au if you are interested in adopting one of our precious souls, and we will send you our Adoption Application Form 💛
Once we have received your completed application, we will contact you to discuss suitability. If we feel one of our cats or kittens may be the right match for you, we will then arrange either a home visit or request a short walk-through video of your home.
If all goes well, we offer a 2-week trial period to ensure your new cat or kitten is the right fit for your family 🐾
Conditions apply. Heart & Soul Rescue reserves the right to decline a full refund if recommendations and care requirements regarding your adopted cat or kitten have not been followed during the 2 week trial period. A 25% administration fee applies if a cat or kitten is returned during that time.
Heart & Soul Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit charity. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations and fundraising to cover our vet and rescue costs.
