Suzi Q is a sweet, affectionate little girl with plenty of sass, a whole lot of heart, and a resilience that’s hard not to admire. She had a tough start to life, but now she’s ready to find a family to call her own. One who will continue building her confidence, help her grow, and give her the love and security she deserves.
Suzi Q absolutely loves being around her people and will happily soak up all the attention you have to give. She’s a big fan of belly rubs, couch snuggles, and curling up beside you after a busy day of play. She’s incredibly friendly and loves playing with her toys and her canine foster sister, Wren. One of her cutest little quirks is the funny little prance she does when she’s excited to see you, it never fails to make you smile. And if treats are involved, you’ve got her full attention! She absolutely loves her food, which makes training both fun and rewarding.
Like many puppies who have had a rough beginning, Suzi Q can be a little nervous in new places and unfamiliar situations. Her confidence is growing every day with gentle exposure, patience and positive experiences, and we’re looking for a family who will continue helping her discover that the world isn’t such a scary place.
When she’s feeling unsure, Suzi Q may bark out of fear. This is something that will require ongoing training and reassurance, so she would thrive with someone who is home often and can dedicate the time to building her confidence. She would also love a friendly, confident canine companion who can show her the ropes and help her learn that new experiences can be fun.
Suzi Q is a clever little girl who already knows how to sit and has started learning other basic commands. She absolutely loves food, making her highly motivated to learn, and we strongly recommend puppy training classes. Not only will they help with her obedience, but they’ll also provide valuable opportunities for safe, controlled socialisation.
Being a fair-skinned, short-haired pup, Suzi Q can occasionally become a little itchy. This has been well managed with Malaseb baths and topical treatment, but her future family should be aware that this may require ongoing monitoring and care.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate best friend and are willing to invest the time and love into helping a deserving puppy blossom, Suzi Q will reward you with endless cuddles, laughter and unconditional love.
Suzi Q is $450 + $100 desex bond* to adopt and comes microchipped, C5 vaccinated, and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
* Desex bond will be refunded once pup is desexed at one of our nominated vets at the appropriate age. It is a non-negotiable condition of adoption that pups are desexed prior to 8 months of age, unless otherwise approved by NQAR. The cost of desexing is included in the adoption fee, as long as it is done at one of our nominated vets.
