About Prue
Hi, I’m Prue.
I am an independent kind of cat, with a bit of personality to keep things interesting.
I am a little more playful than the other cats in my foster home, especially when I am entertaining myself. I absolutely love hair ties and small things I can toss around. I will throw them, chase them and catch them all on my own. It is quite impressive. Sometimes I get so enthusiastic that I even surprise myself!
I do love affection, but it has to be on my terms. When I want attention, I will come and find you, and I will be very clear about it. I might even climb onto you if you are sitting down. I have been known to interrupt you in the bathroom if I decide it is time for pats. I also enjoy grooming your hair, which is a lovely bonding activity.
I was born with congenital blindness, which means I have never had normal sight and do not know any different. The good news is that it does not require any medical intervention. I have learned to navigate my surroundings using my other senses and get on with life very well.
I am fine with other cats, though I mostly tolerate them rather than seek them out. I do not play as much as the others, but I will join in now and then. I would actually do very well as an only pet, as I enjoy my own space.
I am said to be fine with dogs, though I would need a calm and gentle introduction.
I am okay with children, but I do prefer a quieter home. If things get too loud or busy, I might retreat to a quiet corner for a bit, but then I will come again.
Because I have problems with my eyesight, I sometimes can be sensitive to sudden movements and noises, so I appreciate people who move gently and let me know they are nearby. Once I feel safe, I will come out for cuddles and attention in my own time.
I also use my litter tray perfectly.
If you are looking for a cat who is playful, independent and full of quiet character, I might be just right for you.

Adoption Process
Please complete your adoption application in full and provide all required supporting documentation, including veterinary records for any existing pets and, where applicable, a copy of your current lease agreement with written permission to keep pets. Applications will not be assessed until all requested information has been received.
Applications are not approved on a first come, first served basis. Every application is carefully assessed to ensure the best possible match between the animal and their new home. We consider the individual needs of each animal, your lifestyle, experience, home environment, and ability to provide lifelong care. If we believe the animal you have applied for is not the right fit, we will happily work with you to find a more suitable match.
Cats are adopted as strictly indoor-only pets. They must not be allowed to roam outdoors under any circumstances. Secure outdoor cat enclosures or supervised harness walks are acceptable where appropriate.
Dogs will only be adopted into homes with secure, escape-proof fencing suitable for the size, breed, and needs of the individual dog. Applicants may be asked to provide photos or videos of their fencing and yard as part of the assessment process.
If your application is approved, your contact details will be provided to the animal's foster carer, who will contact you to arrange a meet-and-greet and, if suitable, a handover.
Prior to collection, you will receive an adoption agreement, copies of the animal's veterinary records, and payment details. The signed adoption agreement and full payment of the adoption fee must be received before the animal can leave our care.
We offer a two-week trial period to help ensure the adoption is the right fit for both you and the animal. If the adoption does not proceed during this period, the animal must be returned to our care. The adoption fee will be refunded less an administration fee, provided the animal is returned in the same condition in which it was adopted.
Our priority is placing every animal into a safe, loving, and permanent home. We reserve the right to decline any application if we believe it is not in the animal's best interests.
