About Dozer
Introducing Dozer!
Dozer is a French Bulldog born 1st June 2022.
Dozer has been transferred to us from another facility after being surrendered to them by his owner.
Since being at the facility Dozer has been a barrell of laughs & quite literally a keg on legs weighing in at 14.1kgs. He absolutely LOVES toys of all kinds, but squeaky toys & stuffed toys have been his favourite so far.. be warned though, the stuffed toys don't last long before they miraculously explode and fill the room with their no-longer-contained floof. Cleaning this up has proven to be a full-time job. Another thing potential adopters should be aware of his need for belly rubs. This need can strike at any moment & all other tasks must cease immediately until further notice.
Dozer appears to walk quite well on lead & he knows how to 'sit' on command. He is also very food motivated & seems eager to please.
Sadly Dozer has tested poorly with other dogs, so he will need to be the only animal at home. This also means that he won't be suitable to take to off-leash areas like dog parks & beaches.
Dozer has shown signs of prey drive, so he will need a home with no small animals like cats, chickens & rabbits.
Dozer has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility
Dozer would love to be adopted to an owner/family who will include him in their day to day life & be a cherished member of the family.

Dozer’s adoption fee is $950, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Dozer is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Dozer is currently located in East Maitland.

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
