Meet Billie, a gorgeous, affectionate girl who has embraced pet life with enthusiasm and is discovering just how wonderful life as a much-loved pet can be. With her gentle nature, playful personality, and love of being close to her people, Billie is the kind of companion who quickly becomes part of the family. Whether she's following you from room to room, soaking up pats, or curled up nearby for a nap, she's happiest when she's included in your day.

Billie would love a home with a secure yard where she can enjoy her favourite pastime—taking her toys outside for little adventures before relaxing on her beloved sun lounge in the sunshine. Indoors, she's wonderfully settled and enjoys lounging on a comfy bed, making her an easy-going housemate who appreciates the simple things in life.

She currently lives happily with other greyhounds and has blossomed since arriving in foster care. While she was a little shy at first, she's now enjoying playtime with her greyhound friends and would happily live with another friendly dog or as your one-and-only companion. Billie is also learning the household rules and is doing a great job discovering which toys belong outside and which ones are best kept indoors.

Billie is lovely to walk on the lead, staying close without pulling and happily joining group walks with other greyhounds. She's becoming more familiar with suburban life and, while busy roads can still make her pause for a moment, she has handled outings to parks and quieter neighbourhoods beautifully. With a little continued exposure, her confidence will only keep growing.

Toilet training has come naturally to Billie, and she happily waits until she's outside. She settles well when left at home, content to snooze on a comfy bed or entertain herself with her toys while waiting for her family to return.

When meeting new people, Billie can be a little excited at first, but she quickly settles into her favourite activity—leaning in for extra pats and cuddles. Her affectionate nature and easy-going temperament would make her a wonderful choice for first-time greyhound owners as well as those already familiar with the breed. She would be best suited to a home with older children who can give her a little space during those enthusiastic first greetings.

One of Billie's sweetest qualities is her gentle, accommodating nature. She's continuing to come out of her shell and gains a little more confidence every day. She doesn't currently jump on the furniture, so her future family can decide whether they'd like to keep it that way—or risk introducing her to the comforts of the couch!
