About Cupcake
Cupcake is a female cat available for adoption in Bonython (Canberra, Australian Capital Territory).
Cupcake is a gentle, friendly cat who loves nothing more than being near her people. Give her a lap and a scratch in just the right spot and she'll purr away contentedly.
She's playful too, with a favourite toy and a real talent for fetch. Fetch is one of her favourite games, and her toy is always close by.
A little about Cupcake:
🐾 Plays fetch with her favourite toy and loves to do it again
🐾 Performs tricks in exchange for treats
🐾 Rolls around asking for belly rubs when she's feeling relaxed
🐾 Seeks out the sunniest spot in the room for a good lounge
🐾 Has plenty to say when she wants your attention
Cupcake's days move between her favourite sunny spots and your lap. In between, she'll hunt down her toy and ask for a game.
Her affection is easy to read. She purrs, asks for scratches, and sits beside you or right on top of you when she's feeling social.
She's a chatty girl, too. When she wants your attention, a loud, cheerful meow lets you know she's ready for company.
With new people, Cupcake takes a few minutes to size things up. She keeps a little distance at first, then her curious, friendly side comes out.
New faces have never been a problem for her, and she's inquisitive and friendly once they've been around for a little while.
Cupcake loves being the centre of attention, so she'll do best as the only cat in the home. That way, every sunny spot and every lap belongs to her.
A calm, indoor home with a warm sunny window suits her well, whether that's an apartment or a house. She'll suit a guardian who is around enough to enjoy her company, whether that's a quiet evening on the couch or a spontaneous game of fetch.
Picture a warm patch of sunshine on the floor with Cupcake stretched out in it. Then the sound of your key in the door, and a trot over with her toy in her mouth.
Picture an evening on the couch with a purring cat beside you, and a few tricks for a treat before bed.
Cupcake is a gentle, playful, people-loving cat, ready to bring her purrs and her party tricks to a calm home of her own.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
