Honey is a delightful little girl who responds to affection with pure pleasure. Give her a pat or a kind word and she will show you just how happy she is to be loved.
She is currently sharing her foster home with two Greyhounds and an elderly Jack Russell, and they all get along famously. Honey enjoys joining the other dogs as they potter around the property investigating interesting smells, but call her name and she comes running.
Honey has a healthy appetite and is not a fussy eater. She happily eats her vegetables, sardines and cooked chicken. She can become distracted during meals and wander away, but will return to finish her food when she is ready.
She is an intelligent and obedient young dog who responds well when instructions are clear. Honey should be a pleasure to train, particularly with gentle guidance, consistency and plenty of praise.
Honey is also quite a sensitive little soul. She does not enjoy being told off and will perform an amusing series of twists and contortions as she tries to work her way back into the good books. Positive, reward-based training will bring out the best in her.
She is house-trained and sleeps well at night, although she can still be a little watchful when people or the other dogs move about. As she becomes secure in her permanent home and learns the household routine, this should continue to settle.
Honey’s ideal home will offer:

✓ A friendly resident dog may be welcome, although this is not essential
Honey is affectionate, responsive, dog-friendly and full of personality. This gorgeous little girl is ready to become a much-loved member of a family of her own.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
