About Rodger
Rodger is a very sweet cat that loves sleeping and lounging near us. He tends to mirror our actions such as stretching together with us, eating at the same time, sleeping on his bed nearby when we work. He loves sitting on soft things like mats, rugs, sofas and his bed, and he also likes to sit on his scratcher at times. Rodger is very affectionate and loves pets, he especially likes being pet on the head and combed around his cheeks. He is quite food-motivated as well, making it relatively easy to feed him medications. Though he doesn't enjoy them, he would still do his best to eat them especially when you point at it.
Rodger sleeps on his big orange bed the most. He tends to make biscuits every time he gets up there! Though he also enjoys sleeping on the couch while we're sitting there or on the floor close by.
He frequently enjoys playing with wand toys of many kinds and doesn't seem to care about small plush cat toys. Rodger loves poached chicken very much. He also loves eating wet food, churu at the vet, and Greenies, which we've used to teach him how to sit.
Rodger tends to only drink out of one side of the 2 section water bowl. Rodger's lower right canine always gets stuck on his upper lip and he makes a stinky face a lot. When we tried feeding him a pill by hand, he kept spitting it out onto the floor and every time I pointed at the pill, he would try eating it again and again until he finally crunched on the pill and unwillingly swallowed the powder (afterwhich we gave him some wet food because we felt bad) He likes to bite our ankles and feet when he feels restless.
We love that he enjoys lounging near us any time of day!

Adoption details
When someone contacts us to apply for an animal we will send an application form to be completed. When we receive a completed application form we will share this with the foster carer to approve the applicant.
We will then organise a meet & greet with the applicant and the foster carer to meet the animal, learn about their routine, behaviours and what they eat, drink, etc.
After the meet & greet the applicant is contacted to see if they want to proceed with the application and the foster carer approves the applicant.
We will then complete paperwork, payment, and organise a time to have the animal picked up.
Animals are then adopted on a 2 week trial, during which we stay in touch and provide support for the new adopter.
Once adopted we will send through vet records & paperwork and transfer their microchip.
We offer communication and support throughout the fostering & adoption process.
