If you’re looking for a kitten with a huge personality and an even bigger heart, Asha might just be your perfect match!
Asha is an incredibly friendly, affectionate and confident little girl who adores people. She loves attention and cuddles, but her favourite place is curled up beside you — or even better, right on top of you!
Playful and curious, Asha can turn almost anything into a toy. She loves playing with her feline friends and enjoys quieter moments watching the world from the window or keeping an eye on the fish tank. When she’s feeling especially happy and loved, she even does an adorable little “bum wiggle.”
Asha currently lives happily with two cats and a large-breed dog, confidently enjoying playtime with both. She may also suit a home with calm, gentle and respectful children who understand how to interact appropriately with animals.
Asha is litter trained, although very occasionally she may toilet beside the tray. This is infrequent and continues to improve with consistency.
❤️ Asha’s Journey
Asha came into care after being rescued from an animal hoarding situation, where she had experienced neglect and competed with many other animals for food. She arrived underweight, but with veterinary care, nutritious meals and plenty of love, she has blossomed into a happy, healthy and affectionate little girl.
Despite her difficult beginning, Asha has remained incredibly trusting and has so much love to give.

Asha is looking for a loving indoor-only home, with a secure catio as a welcome bonus. Being such a social girl, she would thrive with another friendly cat or a calm, cat-friendly dog for companionship.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
