About Baxter
Baxter is a very special and charming young man.
He has an expressive face, and soulful eyes which he uses to greet you in the morning, and sometimes will try to use to mind-control you into giving him more head pats.
He is an excellent companion with a calm, curious and warm personality, he likes to keep his humans company as they move from room to room, he supervises in the kitchen when meals are being made, and loves to join in on a lazy afternoon nap, but is also just as happy in his favourite spot alone on the couch.
He likes to balance out his sensible personality with a daily dose of afternoon zoomies, he loves his toys and likes to hide from them and then pounce when they least expect it.
He is respectful and easy going with other pets, and would be happy alone, or with other cats who could play with him.
He enjoys being around humans and creates strong bonds with his special people.
He is very affectionate and will come to you for smooches and pats.
Baxter loves company, but respects personal space, so you'll find him sitting next to you, not on you, and sleeping at the end of the bed.
Because he was blessed with his beautiful long hair, he needs periodic brushing, which he helps with by staying relatively still, and showing you his tummy.
You'll be the perfect match for Baxter if you enjoy beauty, want a buddy to watch TV with, like having someone to talk to when you're cooking or washing the dishes, and your favourite colour is orange.
Background. Baxter was was a regretful surrender due to family circumstances. He was very loved by his owner.

Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
