Meet Oreo

Oreo is a cute little medium-haired tuxedo kitten with a story written right into his face: solid black fur with a crisp white blaze down the middle, just like his namesake, the Oreo biscuit. Catch him lapping up a splash of milk and you'll understand the joke in his foster home: an Oreo dipped in milk.

Oreo has come a long way. He's recently learnt his name, loves watching his humans, and is slowly letting people in, he now sleeps belly-up and rolls over, a real sign he's relaxing. He's happy to be petted gently and is learning to enjoy short cuddles too. With the progress he's already made, we know his trust and affection will only keep growing.

What Oreo needs

Oreo thrives with an older, confident cat who still likes to play, someone he can groom alongside, hide behind, and snuggle up to for reassurance. He's been living with Calypso, one of our other cats in care, and the two share a real bond. If you're thinking of welcoming two cats into your family, Oreo and Calypso would make a wonderful pair.

A small dog would suit him well, or a big dog with a gentle, easygoing nature, he loves canine company but does better with calm energy than a boisterous full-sized dog. He could be fine with older children who respect his space and will let him learn to trust them. More than anything, Oreo needs patience: a home where he can share your bed, set his own pace, and keep learning to trust.

What Oreo loves

Chin scritches are everything to him, he'll answer with slow blinks and purrs. He loves spring toys, zooming around with his foster siblings, and lazy naps in a sunny spot. He warms up fastest when you approach slowly, and feels safest up in a cat tree, so plenty of climbing spots and hiding places will help him keep blossoming into the silly, playful kitten he's becoming. Treat-wise, he's a fan of jelly wet food, the odd bit of pastry, lactose-free milk, and cheese.
