Hello there! I'm Tallow, and I'm officially accepting applications for my forever family.

Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Tallow if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well

General:
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• I want used to being allowed inside and being apart of the family - not left outside without interaction.
• I am like a little shadow and will stay by your side, I would love a family that will take me along with you for adventures,work ect.
• Secure fencing is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• Because I can be shy in new situations, a home without little ones who may accidentally startle me would suit me best but I am used to living with children over 12yrs old.

Dog Compatibility:
• A calm, gentle male dog companion may suit me, as boisterous dogs annoy me.
• I am happy to co-exist with another dog but am not the playful kind so im more than happy to go to a home by myself!

Cat / small animal:
• With a slow and thoughtful introduction, I may be able to live with a gentle, quiet cat.

Perks:
• I'm gentle and placid in nature, and I've had some basic obedience training - I'm generally a well-mannered dog. I know my basic commands like sit, shake, come and wait and I'm always eager to learn more.
• I walk nicely on lead for a young dog.
• I am housetrained and am used to being allowed indoors as part of the family.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.

Training:
• I'm shy when meeting new people and in unfamiliar environments. I'll need a patient family who will allow me indoors, move at my pace, and gently build my confidence through ongoing socialisation.
• I am not a fan of the vets so I will need a family that will take things slowly and help me learn its not such a scary place.
