Ben is a handsome young gentleman with a gentle soul who is looking for a patient family willing to let him settle in at his own pace. New environments can make him feel a little unsure, so he'll appreciate a quiet home where he can take his time getting to know his surroundings. Once he's feeling safe and comfortable, you'll discover the absolute sweetheart hiding beneath his shy exterior.
Ben is an independent boy who enjoys being part of the family without needing to be the centre of attention. He's happiest when he can spend time nearby, keeping you company while still having the freedom to do his own thing. While he's not one for endless cuddles, he'll happily share your space and quietly remind you that companionship comes in many forms.
When it's time to play, wand toys are his absolute favourite, and he'll happily leap, chase and pounce to his heart's content. Interactive play is a wonderful way to build his confidence and strengthen the bond you'll share.
Having always lived indoors, Ben is looking for an indoor-only home where he can continue to feel safe and secure. He would also prefer to be your one and only feline, as he's not particularly interested in sharing his kingdom with other cats and can be a little bossy with them.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
