About Max (AKA Remi)
Remi is an absolute gem and has been a pleasure to foster. He has settled beautifully into home life and has all the makings of a wonderful family dog.
✔️ Crate trained – happily sleeps through the night without a peep and is also happy to pop into his crate during the day when he needs some quiet time.
✔️ No trouble with our 3 family cats
✔️ Fantastic with the kids
✔️ Knows how to sit and is eager to learn
✔️ Only one toilet accident inside so far 🤞🏼
Remi is very food motivated, making him a joy to train. He’s smart, keen to please, and responds really well to treats.
After a play or a walk, he’s also a lovely, calm companion. He settles easily around the house and his favourite place is curled up beside you on the couch, leaning in for cuddles while you watch TV. He loves a belly scratch and also does that classic frog leg pose when lying down!
We’ve introduced him to our chooks while on lead and he showed no reaction, although we haven’t progressed to trusting him off lead around them just yet.
I’ve only heard Remi bark a handful of times, mostly to let me know he’d like to go outside to the toilet. During his time with us I’ve never heard him growl, seen him raise a lip, or show any signs of aggression.
If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, well-mannered dog who is ready to become part of the family, Remi is going to make someone incredibly lucky.

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
