Hi Peter here,
I’m a big, lanky boy with a sweet nature, a playful side and, apparently, a lot of legs that I’m still figuring out how to use!
I love playing, wrestling, exploring and being involved in whatever my humans are doing. I’m a curious boy, but I’m not always the type to rush straight into something new. Sometimes I prefer to hang back, have a good look at what’s happening and decide when I’m ready.
I can be especially cautious when meeting new dogs and animals. I’m not reactive or aggressive at all I’m just unsure and can get a little nervous when I don’t know them yet. I need calm introductions, some patience and a little time to realise that everything is okay.
Please don’t rush me. Give me the chance to settle and build my confidence, and you’ll start to see my goofy, playful personality come out.
When it comes to people, though, I absolutely love being part of the family. I’ve been wonderful with adults and children, although I am going to be a big boy and I’m still learning some manners.
You see, sometimes I get so excited that I forget I’m lanky and jump up to say hello. I’m also still working on listening to commands when there are much more exciting things happening around me! I’m young, I’m learning, and I’ll need a family who is happy to keep teaching me with patience, consistency and plenty of positive reinforcement.
What I’d really love is a home where I’m genuinely part of the family. I don’t want to spend my life watching everyone through the back door. I want the best of both worlds running around and playing outside, then coming inside to hang out with my people.
I want to be there for movie nights, follow you around while you’re making dinner, snooze somewhere nearby while you’re relaxing and head out with you for adventures. I want to be included in all the normal, everyday things that make me feel like I belong.
I’m still young and discovering the world, so I need people who understand that sometimes I might need a little reassurance. I need someone who will help me build my confidence, continue my training and show me that new experiences don’t have to be scary.
In return, you’ll get a big, goofy, affectionate boy who will love being part of your world. So, could you be the family I’m waiting for?
I don’t need someone looking for a perfect dog. I need someone who sees the dog I can become and wants to be there for the journey.
Someone who’ll be patient when I’m unsure, guide me when I forget my manners, celebrate my progress and make sure I always know that I belong.

Adoption Process
Please complete your adoption application in full and provide all required supporting documentation, including veterinary records for any existing pets and, where applicable, a copy of your current lease agreement with written permission to keep pets. Applications will not be assessed until all requested information has been received.
Applications are not approved on a first come, first served basis. Every application is carefully assessed to ensure the best possible match between the animal and their new home. We consider the individual needs of each animal, your lifestyle, experience, home environment, and ability to provide lifelong care. If we believe the animal you have applied for is not the right fit, we will happily work with you to find a more suitable match.
Cats are adopted as strictly indoor-only pets. They must not be allowed to roam outdoors under any circumstances. Secure outdoor cat enclosures or supervised harness walks are acceptable where appropriate.
Dogs will only be adopted into homes with secure, escape-proof fencing suitable for the size, breed, and needs of the individual dog. Applicants may be asked to provide photos or videos of their fencing and yard as part of the assessment process.
If your application is approved, your contact details will be provided to the animal's foster carer, who will contact you to arrange a meet-and-greet and, if suitable, a handover.
Prior to collection, you will receive an adoption agreement, copies of the animal's veterinary records, and payment details. The signed adoption agreement and full payment of the adoption fee must be received before the animal can leave our care.
We offer a two-week trial period to help ensure the adoption is the right fit for both you and the animal. If the adoption does not proceed during this period, the animal must be returned to our care. The adoption fee will be refunded less an administration fee, provided the animal is returned in the same condition in which it was adopted.
Our priority is placing every animal into a safe, loving, and permanent home. We reserve the right to decline any application if we believe it is not in the animal's best interests.
