Chappy

Chappy is a handsome 9-year-old grey Burmese gentleman with a big personality, a playful spirit and plenty of opinions.

Like many cats, he can be a little cautious when meeting new people. Give him a little time to settle and he'll soon let his true character shine. Once you've earned his trust, you'll discover a wonderfully affectionate companion who loves being close to his chosen person.

Forget buying an expensive cat bed-Chappy has already decided he'd much rather sleep in yours! Don't be surprised to come home and find a suspicious lump under the doona, only to discover Chappy has burrowed himself under the covers for a cosy afternoon nap. At bedtime, he'll happily wriggle over and plaster himself against your side.

Chappy is convinced your lap belongs to him, and if you're sitting down, he'll often be there before you've even got comfortable. He's an enthusiastic head-butter who adores head and chin scratches, and when he's especially content you'll be treated to a spectacular display of aggressive biscuits worthy of an industrial bakery.

One of his favourite daily rituals is being carried around for a "window tour", happily watching the neighbourhood from the safety of your arms.

At nine years young, Chappy is still incredibly playful. He loves games of chase and peekaboo, and his all-time favourite toy is... a humble shoelace! He's proof that the simplest things in life often provide the best entertainment.

Like any cat worth his whiskers, Chappy has boundaries. He may dramatically roll over and proudly display his rather substantial tummy, inviting you to admire it. This is, however, a trap. Admire from a respectful distance-tummy rubs were never part of the deal.

Chappy is currently on a healthy weight-loss journey, so his new family will need to help him maintain a balanced diet while encouraging regular play and activity.

There's an unmistakable intelligence behind Chappy's expressive eyes. He's curious about the world around him and enjoys being involved in whatever his humans are doing.
