Warning... this little guy comes with a permanent wagging tail, an impressive collection of puppy zoomies, and the ability to steal your heart before you've even finished saying hello!
Meet Wilbur, a gorgeous 15 week old Havanese x Pomeranian puppy who's ready to find a family that will embrace all the fun, laughter and puppy antics that come with raising a happy little best friend.
Wilbur came into Paw Prints Canine Rescue through a private surrender. Sometimes life gets busy and raising a puppy can become overwhelming. Rather than leaving him without the time and attention he deserves, his family made the incredibly selfless decision to ask for help so Wilbur could find the loving forever home every puppy deserves.
And oh... what a fun little character he is!
Like most puppies, Wilbur believes every day is an adventure waiting to happen. One minute he's racing around the yard with his doggy friends, the next he's proudly carrying around a toy that's almost as big as he is, and before you know it... he's completely run out of battery and is fast asleep in the nearest comfy spot.
He's the perfect combination of cheeky, cuddly and completely adorable.
Wilbur absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. Having another dog around not only gives him a best mate to wrestle with, but also helps him continue learning all those important doggy life lessons. Whether they're big, small, young or old, Wilbur thinks everyone is a potential friend.
People? Well... they're pretty wonderful too! He can be a little unsure when meeting someone new (to be fair, everyone looks like a giant when you're only this little!), so he'll sometimes announce your arrival with a some barks. Give him a minute, a kind voice and maybe a little pat, and suddenly you're his new best friend.
Like any clever puppy, Wilbur is already learning the ropes. He's around 90% toilet trained, happily follows the other dogs outside when it's time for a toilet break, and has even started learning to use a doggy door. With a little consistency from his new family, he'll have it mastered in no time.
Bedtime is another thing Wilbur has worked out rather well. He's crate trained and happily sleeps in his crate beside his humans. He may have a little grumble for a few minutesâjust in case you forgot he has opinionsâbut before long he's curled up fast asleep, dreaming about tomorrow's adventures. In the morning, he'll patiently wait until he hears everyone starting to move before popping up to say, "Good morning! What are we doing today?"
Being a puppy means Wilbur is still discovering the world, and sometimes that discovery includes deciding that your fingers look suspiciously like chew toys. Don't worryâhe's already learning that toys are much more appropriate things to chew, and with continued guidance he'll grow out of this normal puppy stage.
When he's not exploring, wrestling with his furry friends or investigating absolutely everything, Wilbur loves a cuddle. He's one of those puppies who plays hard, naps hard, and then wakes up ready to do it all over again.
He loves toys, happily enjoys his meals (although he does like to check if everyone else's food somehow tastes better than his), and is incredibly smart. He's eager to learn, enjoys praise and treats, and has already shown just how quickly he picks up new routines.
Wilbur has even had his very first groomâand according to him, he's now officially a very handsome big boy!
As with all puppies, Wilbur is looking for a family who understands that puppies don't arrive fully trained. They'll need patience, consistency, ongoing training and plenty of love as he grows into the wonderful little dog he's destined to become.
In return, you'll get front-row seats to puppy zoomies, endless laughter, warm cuddles, funny little quirks, and a loyal best friend who will fill your home with happiness for years to come.
If you're ready for toys scattered around the house, tiny paws following you everywhere, lots of puppy kisses and a lifetime of unconditional love, then Wilbur is ready to meet you.

- Your current dogs vaccinations up-to-date and have a copy of the certificate to send thru (please contact your vet asap if you don't have a copy)
- Your dog can travel to the carers location
- You are available to attend the meet and greet within the next 7 days

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period â this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
