About Brum
Some cats walk into a room and demand your attention. Brum isn't one of them.
Instead, he'll quietly watch from a safe distance, taking his time to decide if the world is a place he can trust. At just 3 years old, this stunningly handsome boy has a gentle, sensitive soul. Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for him, and while he's shy in our care, we know there's a wonderful cat waiting to blossom in the right home.
Brum is looking for someone who understands that love isn't always instant. He needs a calm, peaceful home where he can decompress at his own pace, with plenty of space, patience, and kindness. The greatest gift you can give Brum is simply letting him be himself while he learns that he's finally safe.
One thing that does win him over? Food! Brum is a big fan of mealtime, and tasty treats are definitely the way to his heart. They're also a wonderful way to help build his confidence and show him that good things happen around people.
It's often the loud, outgoing cats that catch everyone's eye, while beautiful souls like Brum are quietly overlooked. But those who choose the shy ones know something special: earning the trust of a sensitive cat is one of the most rewarding experiences there is. Watching them slowly emerge from their shell, seek out your company, and eventually show you the love they've been saving is truly priceless.
If you have a quiet home, a patient heart, and room for a sweet boy to grow in confidence, Brum could be the companion you've been waiting for. He may not be the first cat to say hello, but he just might become the one who means the most.
Brum is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Brum - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
