About Chowder
Meet Chowder! This sweet ginger boy is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can take his time to settle in and show his true personality. While he may be shy at first, Chowder can build confidence with gentle, positive interactions and will reward his people by showing his affectionate side once trust is established.
Chowder would suit a calm adult home with adopters who have experience with shy or timid cats and understand the importance of giving cats space and allowing them to approach at their own pace. He enjoys gentle engagement and especially loves paste treats, which are a great way to build a bond with him.
Chowder may also be suitable for a home with gentle, cat-savvy teenagers who can respect his boundaries and understand his needs.
If you're looking for a sweet companion who blossoms with patience and kindness, Chowder could be the perfect match.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
