Meet Jaffa

Don't let the grumbles fool you, although she may hiss at you when you first meet her underneath her gruff exterior lays a little cat who is just waiting for a chance for love.

Her foster carer describes her as the smartest kitten they've ever met. In fact, it's impossible to even think about tricking Jaffa! She's always one step ahead, curious about everything, and determined to investigate every corner of the world. Whether she's embarking on a tiny adventure or zooming after her favorite plastic spring toy, Jaffa approaches life with enthusiasm and confidence.

Once she's worn herself out, you'll usually find her tucked away somewhere warm and cosy, enjoying a well-earned nap.

Right now, though, shelter life has been overwhelming for Jaffa. The unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells have left her feeling frightened, so she's been growling and hissing to ask for space. It's important to remember that this isn't who Jaffa is, it's how she's coping with a stressful environment.

Jaffa is looking for a patient, understanding home that will let her settle in at her own pace. Using consent-based interactions, allowing her to choose when and how she engages, respecting her boundaries, and celebrating her small steps will help her feel safe and allow her true, adventurous personality to shine through.

If you're willing to earn the trust of one incredibly clever little cat, you'll be rewarded with the chance to watch Jaffa blossom into the curious, playful, and affectionate companion her foster carer already knows and loves.
