About Bug
Maximus is a sweet, sensitive boy who has come a long way since arriving in foster care. Although he was very shy at first, his foster carer says he now starts purring as soon as he sees them-a sure sign of how much his confidence has grown.
Once he feels comfortable, Maximus loves chin and ear scratches and is more than happy to enjoy a gentle belly rub. Like many timid kittens, he can still be startled by sudden movements or loud noises, but with patience and kindness, he's made wonderful progress.
The shelter has been a scary place for Maximus, so he's understandably feeling overwhelmed and may seem fearful at first. He'll need a calm home where his boundaries are respected and where he can build trust through gentle, consent-based interactions.
Behind those cautious eyes is a loving little kitten who just needs someone willing to give him the time and understanding he deserves. Watching his confidence grow will be incredibly rewarding.
Although he doesn't need to go home with his sister Delilah they do love each other and kittens are like potato chips, you just can't stop at one.
Maximus is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
