About Gus - 10 Year Old Domestic Short Hair
Gus is a gorgeous senior gentleman with so much love to give. Friendly, affectionate, and full of personality, at 10 years old he's looking for a forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort. Once he's settled in, Gus blossoms into a wonderful companion who adores pats, attention, and being close to his people.
This chatty boy isn't afraid to let you know when he's around! Gus is quite vocal and loves greeting his people, especially when there's a meal involved. He's a big fan of food and will happily rub against your legs to remind you it's time for cuddles… or dinner!
Gus has lived as an indoor-only cat, is fully litter trained, and is up to date on all of his vaccinations, making him ready to settle straight into his new home. Being an older boy he’s perfectly fine being left at home alone for extended hours.
He's previously been around calm dogs and, with slow and proper introductions, should be able to become good friends with a gentle canine companion.
At this stage of his life, Gus is simply looking for someone who will offer him the love, comfort, and companionship he deserves. In return, he'll reward you with affectionate leg rubs, gentle conversation, and loyal companionship.

Gus is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. He is available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $150 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
