***URGENT – ARLO NEEDS TO LEAVE THE POUND***

Arlo is a gorgeous young boy with a big heart, a goofy personality and so much potential. At just one year old, he’s still very much a puppy at heart and is looking for someone willing to guide him as he grows into the amazing companion we know he can be.

Having spent his early life as a backyard dog with very little training, Arlo was surrendered to the pound. Since then, he has already made wonderful progress with his handlers and is now looking for a home that will continue building his confidence, training and life skills.

Arlo absolutely loves playing frisbee, enjoys a game of soccer with his people and, if food is involved, he’s guaranteed to be happy! In fact, he loves his meals so much that he’ll inhale them if given the chance, so a slow feeder bowl is a must. He even loves wearing his pyjamas after a fun-filled day.

Like many young dogs, Arlo can become overexcited, and that’s when his silly behaviours appear. He responds incredibly well to calm, confident handling and is eager to learn. He needs ongoing positive, consistent training, including lead training and continued positive social experiences with both people and other dogs.

Arlo is a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he’s a loving, goofy sweetheart.

A home that can provide calm leadership, patience and guidance will help Arlo continue to grow into the incredible companion he’s destined to be.

Time is not on Arlo’s side. While he is coping well and continues to make progress, the pound is no place for a young dog to grow and thrive. We’d love to see Arlo move into a home as soon as possible.

We know that, in the right home, this lovable, goofy boy is going to blossom.
