About Mushroom
Open to meet kids of all ages Quieter home
Open to meet cats Shy but she has so much love to give!
Mushroom is looking for a family who understands that the best things take time. This sweet girl may be a little shy when she first meets you, but with patience, love, and a little bit of reassurance, she’ll slowly come out of her shell and show you just how special she is.
Once Mushroom feels comfortable in her new home, her adorable personality will start to shine! She’ll happily roll into your hand for pats, make the cutest little biscuits, and you’ll hear those precious purrs that let you know she’s feeling happy and safe.
Due to her gentle and quiet nature, Mushroom would be best suited to a calm home with children who understand that she may need a little time and space to settle in.
Mushroom would love a home with another friendly cat to keep her company. She absolutely loves having a friend and has spent lots of time with her sister Truffle, with the two of them getting along like a house on fire! They love chirping away to each other, sharing head bumps, and enjoying each other’s company.
If you have a little patience and a lot of love to give, Mushroom is ready to find the family who will help her blossom.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
