Meet Freddie š¾
**please note we are only accepting applications for Freddie that are on property and have another friendly dog**
š¶ Personality:
Freddie is a truly special boy whose journey has been nothing short of incredible. Before coming into our care, Freddie spent his life on a breeding property where he had very little opportunity to experience life as a loved family dog. Thanks to months of patience, love and dedication from one of our amazing foster carers, Freddie has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate boy who is finally discovering just how good life can be.
While Freddie was once terrified of people, especially men, his confidence has grown enormously. He now happily approaches new people for a sniff and a gentle pat, enjoys playing ball with his foster family and has even discovered the joy of cuddling. Watching him learn to trust has been one of the most rewarding transformations weāve seen.
Freddie absolutely adores other dogs and takes great comfort from their company. They help him feel safe, confident and encourage him to keep exploring the world around him. Having another friendly, confident dog by his side isnāt just preferred, itās essential for Freddie.
š Training:
Freddie has come such a long way. He no longer needs to be caught with a lead, walks beautifully on a long line, has learnt to enjoy playtime and is becoming much more comfortable with everyday household noises and handling. Heās even been working with a groomer to build confidence and has made fantastic progress.
Like many dogs who have had a difficult start, Freddie will continue to gain confidence with patient, positive guidance. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and is happy to let him settle at his own pace.
š” Perfect Home:
Freddie is looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can continue to thrive. He must have another friendly, confident dog to help guide him and show him the ropes.
He is also looking for a rural or semi-rural home with some land. Having spent his entire life in this type of environment, Freddie is most relaxed when he has space around him. Busy suburban streets and close neighbours simply arenāt where he feels most comfortable.
Freddie would be best suited to a home without babies or very young children. Freddie has been wonderful with older & calm children. We want to set Freddie up for success by finding him a calm, predictable home where he can continue to flourish.
Freddieās ideal family will see past where heās come from and appreciate the amazing dog heās become. Theyāll celebrate the little wins, give him the time he needs to settle and love him for exactly who he is.
If you have a friendly dog, a little bit of land and room in your heart for a boy who has waited his whole life to be loved, Freddie is ready to find his forever home.
