About Cobber
Hi, I’m Cobber a chunky guy with a big personality, a curious mind and a very soft spot for the good life.
I’m a clever boy and I’m learning to be a very good listener. I sit beautifully and when I’m focused, I’m more than happy to listen to what my people ask of me. Of course, being a puppy means sometimes something much more interesting catches my attention and that’s when I need a firm, confident voice to remind me to tune back in!
I’m going to grow into a big, boofy boy, so having a family who understands the importance of ongoing training will be really important for me. I’m looking for someone who is calm, confident and consistent, and who will continue teaching me good manners as I grow. I’m a clever pup, and without guidance I could easily decide that some of my own ideas are much more fun!
I’m also great with children and love being around people. Sometimes my excitement gets the better of me and I forget that jumping up isn’t allowed, so I’m still learning to keep all four paws on the floor. With consistent guidance, I’m sure I’ll get there.
I’m actually not a particularly active puppy. I’m more of a lazy loaf with occasional bursts of adventure. I love pottering around the yard, checking out what’s happening and exploring my surroundings, but I don’t tend to stray far. I’m quite happy keeping my adventures close to home before finding somewhere comfortable to settle down.
I also live with a dachshund and a chihuahua, and they are definitely the bosses around here! I know my place and I’m very respectful of them. I enjoy having other dogs around and learn a lot from them. I have spent some time with bigger dogs too they are fun to rough and tumble with but I also read social cues very well.
When the exploring is done, I’m very happy to flop down and relax with my family. I love being included in everyday life and would much rather be near my people than off doing my own thing.
I’m a big hearted boy in the making clever, affectionate, curious and just a little bit cheeky. I’ll need someone willing to keep up my training and guide me as I grow, but in return you’ll have a wonderful companion who wants to be part of your family.
I might be growing into a big, boofy boy, but underneath it all I’m just a lovable, lazy loaf who wants a family to call my own.

Adoption details
Adoption Process
Please complete your adoption application in full and provide all required supporting documentation, including veterinary records for any existing pets and, where applicable, a copy of your current lease agreement with written permission to keep pets. Applications will not be assessed until all requested information has been received.
Applications are not approved on a first come, first served basis. Every application is carefully assessed to ensure the best possible match between the animal and their new home. We consider the individual needs of each animal, your lifestyle, experience, home environment, and ability to provide lifelong care. If we believe the animal you have applied for is not the right fit, we will happily work with you to find a more suitable match.
Cats are adopted as strictly indoor-only pets. They must not be allowed to roam outdoors under any circumstances. Secure outdoor cat enclosures or supervised harness walks are acceptable where appropriate.
Dogs will only be adopted into homes with secure, escape-proof fencing suitable for the size, breed, and needs of the individual dog. Applicants may be asked to provide photos or videos of their fencing and yard as part of the assessment process.
If your application is approved, your contact details will be provided to the animal's foster carer, who will contact you to arrange a meet-and-greet and, if suitable, a handover.
Prior to collection, you will receive an adoption agreement, copies of the animal's veterinary records, and payment details. The signed adoption agreement and full payment of the adoption fee must be received before the animal can leave our care.
We offer a two-week trial period to help ensure the adoption is the right fit for both you and the animal. If the adoption does not proceed during this period, the animal must be returned to our care. The adoption fee will be refunded less an administration fee, provided the animal is returned in the same condition in which it was adopted.
Our priority is placing every animal into a safe, loving, and permanent home. We reserve the right to decline any application if we believe it is not in the animal's best interests.
