Can’t decide between a kelpie or a border collie? Meet Botas, the perfect combination of both.

He loves to be involved in whatever is going on. Resident dogs off to the backyard, he is with them. Doing a bit of gardening, he is leaning on you and taking weeds out of your bucket!

This very special boy is super intelligent and would be a perfect friend for your dog if they love to play. He is a daily reminder that life should be an adventure. He also knows how to chill and loves to have a cuddle and will fall asleep having his ears rubbed.

Botas has lived on acreage and loved running around the paddocks all day with the other dogs and has great recall, coming back as soon as he is called. He is currently living in suburbia with 3 other large dogs of various ages and he gets on with all of them. He is super food motivated and already knows how to sit for his dinner. He would be a perfect candidate for obedience or flyball training as he just wants to please his person. He almost smiles when told he is a good boy.

He is also very gentle when having his breakfast banana or peanut butter toast and there are no issues around food or toys with the other dogs. He is friendly with all people and dogs but, still being a young dog, can be a little jumpy when excited so would best suit a household with older children and would benefit from some ongoing training.

Botas needs a family that will include him in what they are doing. He is very loyal and loves his people. He is relaxed inside the house, fully house trained and sleeps in his bed through the night. He has quickly settled into our family routine and his sweet personality is starting to emerge.

Taking Botas for a walk is a very leisurely affair, he loves to stop and sniff everything, no power walking for him. After only one walk he already knows that if he sits at the kerb he will get a snack. So smart!

Botas stays outside during the day with our other dogs whilst we are at work. Lots of wrestling, chasing, relaxing and sunbaking get done during this time. When we get home Botas likes to find out how our day went and tell us a bit about his day too.
