Sandy

Sandy is a beautiful, soft-natured Border Collie x puppy with a calm, confident personality. She’s inquisitive, independent and enjoys exploring the world around her at her own pace. She loves a cuddle but is equally happy doing her own thing and appreciates having her own space to relax and recharge.

Sandy has been friendly with every dog she’s met and, like many Border Collies, she does have a little bark from time to time. She'll most likely grow up to be an active and energetic dog. Given a solid foundation of socialisation (meaning introducing to new people, new dogs, as well as new experiences, sights, sounds and places), training and age-appropriate exercise - along with a loving home - Sandy will be on the way to maturing into a friendly, confident and happy adult dog. We always recommend formal group puppy training for young pups as a great way of introducing them to the big wide world in a safe and positive environment.

⭐Please ensure that all members of your household are on board with adopting a pup before filling in an enquiry form, and consider your lifestyle, work hours, activity level and the time you have to commit, before applying.
⭐As a young pup, Sandy will thrive in a home with someone around most of the time while she settles into her new home and routine.

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, flea and worm treatment, puppy vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership) and sterilisation at 6 months at a STAR approved vet clinic.

ADOPTION DETAILS
Our adoption process includes a meet-and-greet with the chosen applicant (any dog already in the household or who regularly stays at the home must attend, along with their current vaccination card); a property check/photos and a 2 week trial period to ensure the pup is the right fit for the home.

The adoption fee must be deposited electronically into our Second Tale Animal Rescue bank account in full before an adoption trial starts. STAR will arrange transfer of ownership on the pup's microchip once the trial period is completed.

To arrange sterilisation at 6 months old, a SAFE approved vet clinic must be used. We will advise the adopter of the closest approved vet in their location.
