Meet Boris!
Boris and his siblings Betty & Barbara came into rescue when their breeder realised they couldnt take the care of them they deserved. They're all on their feet now and ready to find their forever homes!
Boris is a sweet, shy boy who makes a fantastic family dog. He currently lives with other dogs in a busy household with kids and cats, and fits in beautifully. He loves to snuggle on the couch and watch TV with you.
At home, he potters around the yard with the other dogs while everyone is out. At night, he comes inside to spend time with the family, happily snuggled up with them or chewing on a toy.
Boris would suit a home who will let him inside to be part of the family, with secure fencing and outings a couple times a week so he can socialise. He isn't a fan of the dog park, it can be a little scary with so many out of control and new dogs, and he will get a fright. Instead, Boris is a great Sunday stroll friend and would go great with some regular play dates with a group of doggo friends.

Adoption details
Before applying, you should have the following already confirmed:
1. Real estate approval (if renting)
2. A rates notice as proof of home ownership (if owner)
3. Secure, suitable fencing and outdoor shelter
4. Ability to meet the pet’s dietary needs (breed size, age, medical requirements)
5. Capacity to provide appropriate enrichment, exercise, and training
To apply, you must complete the OTC Adoption Application. This form is an expression of interest only and is not a contract. The application takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Some applicants may take more or less time. This timeframe gives an indication of the level of detail required at the initial screening stage.
We do not approve meet-and-greets without a completed and approved application. Applications must be completed in full; incomplete applications will not be followed up. Required photos of yard and fencing must be provided within 48 hours or the application will not proceed. Photos may be sent via our Facebook page or emailed to offthechaink9rescue@outlook.com.
Due to the volume of behind-the-scenes work, we are not always able to contact applicants whose application is not a suitable match for the pet they have applied for, however we do endeavour to do so where possible. You are welcome to request an update or outcome at any time via email or our facebook page inbox and we will respond as soon as we can.

Transport Information
1. Transport is considered only after an adoption application has been submitted. Please apply before sourcing transport to avoid unnecessary arrangements and delays if you are not approved.
2. Submit an adoption application as outlined above.
3. Obtain transport quotes and select your preferred provider. We recommend Aeropets, Jetpets, Dogtainers, or Pet Waggin for road transport.
4. Advise us via email or Facebook message that you have applied and are beginning the transport sourcing process. This is a good time to advise any additional details, such as holding periods or limited departure days.
5. If your adoption application and transport plans are proceeding, we will coordinate departure, fit-to-fly/road requirements, food delivery, and any other necessary elements with you.
6. Adoption contracts, adoption fees, and photo ID must be submitted before the animal is released to transport.
7. Transport approval is subject to the individual animal’s suitability for travel and the standard of care provided by the selected transport company. Not all animals will be approved for transport. If an animal is not suitable to travel, this will be clearly stated on their adoption profile.
